2014 Linne Caldo Spring Release

Can you believe the Problem Child is growing up? The vines are getting older and with that comes complexity. Consistently Zinfandel dominant, the wine screams out with rich ripe fruit that is constrained by the addition of Syrah and Mourvédre. These additions provide a savory component that is matched with smoked meats and the pleasing aromatics of toast. Delicious today, but can cellar for 7 years. $62/btl.

This brilliant Grenache dominated wine has ripe, naturally acid-driven fruit, providing a backbone of epic proportions. The Mourvèdre and Syrah help round out the acid and make the wine less of a fruit bomb and more of an experience. Aged in 350L French barrels, the wood adds soft vanilla and smoke to an already delicious wine. Drink now or cellar for 8 years. $78/btl.

Planting my own vineyards has been one of the best experiences in my life. My respect for farming, winemaking and Mother Nature will never be the same. 100% Estate, aged in a mix of concrete and puncheons, this wine is a liquid photograph of my experiences. Take my best vineyard blocks of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre and let them tell the story. Naturally higher in tanning, I age the wine for one extra year in bottle. Simply amazing! The wine is drinking great now but can cellar for 10 years. $84/btl.

A gorgeous wine that tells the story of pursuit. A 100% estate wine that starts its life in concrete. Whole-cluster syrah is co-fermented with Grenache and Mourvedre. Left on the skins for 35 days, the wine exhibits dark complexities of fig, liquourice and dried sage. This is the second vintage of this wine and I believe a wine with this structure will last for a decade or more.  $68/btl.
